Our Specialized ICT Lab

There was a time when only a few  fortunate children in schools were taught about computers. Today in the most modern education environments, they learn how to use computers to facilitate  learning across the entire curriculum.

The APS commitment has been at the forefront of IT education  to ensure that pupils are well prepared to move into the world with strong IT proficiency.

Each section of the school has its own dedicated Computing Lab with PCs configured to meet the specialized needs of the pupils of that age range. For example, for the younger children of Junior Section, there are multimedia PCs, cartoon movies and games that can be used for learning.

For the older students, carefully controlled access to the internet opens up a truly vast wealth of learning opportunities. This inexhaustible of knowledge enables interested students to develop a far deeper and broader knowledge of their subjects than could be obtained if they were merely reliant upon textbooks alone. Through projects and assignments, the pupils learn how to use all the effective functionality of modern software to present their work in innovative, creative and attractive ways.

APS is never idle or complacent. The information technology resources and infrastructure of the school are likely to be one of the biggest thrust areas over the next one or two years as we go even further towards equipping our young people for the `wired' world of the twenty first century.
